“Ease Chronic Muscle Tension & Pain” using Trigger Point Therapy.
Myofascial “trigger points” or tight muscle knots, are painful, hyper-irritable spots found in the tight soft tissue of skeletal muscles. Typically when pressed upon they cause pain not only in the immediate area but also radiating pain to other more remote areas of the body. They are quite different to acupressure points. In my experience they rarely are resolved with manipulative techniques, massage, medications or physiotherapy, the only effective way to relieve this condition is with trigger point therapy.
Causes of Tight Painful Trigger Points
Trigger points are often caused by:
In addition to causing both local and referred pain, Trigger Points tend to also cause restricted ranges of motion in the spine or joints and can be a hidden cause of severe headaches and jaw pain.
I use this on Patients with:
- T.M.J
- Migraine Headaches
- Cluster Headaches
- Unexplained Muscle pain
- Fibromyalgia
- Fibrositis
- Articular Dysfunction
- Rhematoid Arthritis
Will Trigger Point Therapy improve the pain, range of motion and stiffness?
The technique I use to eliminate these noxious points is called “Pain Neutralization Technique” This is a gentle, extremely effective technique that quickly reduces the neuromuscular pain, limited range of motion, and the stiffness. After just a few treatments, the chronic muscle tension is greatly released, circulation is enhanced, flexibility is restored, and coordination improved. The relief comes quickly and the symptoms rapidly subside.
